Signature Cases
Valeriya Ionan — Five transformations

Signature cases

Five transformations across the arc of a career from building businesses, to building the systems that help businesses to thrive, to architecting the strategy and institutions behind both.

Q28 · Marketing Challenge · MC.today
Case 1

Entrepreneurial beginning: Q28 · Marketing Challenge · MC.today

With my partners, I launched one of the first marketing-team-on-demand models in Ukraine, Q28, which grew from 2014 to 2019 from a service business into a platform for scaling marketing teams on demand across organizations of every size. In parallel, we built Marketing Challenge, which evolved into MC.today, a media outlet about business and entrepreneurship, eventually sold as a full media asset.

Diia.Education
Case 2

Digital literacy development: Diia.Education

We reimagined Ukraine's state education in digital skills as a national edutainment platform for digital literacy and reskilling where any citizen can learn, for free, the practical knowledge they need for work, adaptation and professional growth. Diia.Education became the next chapter of Ukraine's national digital-literacy program and turned learning into a scalable state product.

Diia.Business
Case 3

Entrepreneurship at scale: Diia.Business

We built Ukraine's national infrastructure for entrepreneurs from launching a business to scaling it to entering international markets. Diia.Business combines an online platform and a network of offline centers operating in 14 Ukrainian cities and in Warsaw, offering entrepreneurs consultations, educational programs and the tools to grow.

WINWIN
Case 4

National innovation strategy: WINWIN

WINWIN is Ukraine's Global Innovation Strategy to 2030, the framework that sets the conditions for business, science, startups, investors and international partnerships. It established the systemic architecture for the country's priority sectors from DefenseTech and AI to GovTech and Semiconductors, and turned innovation policy from a set of initiatives into a coherent architecture for the next decade.

GGTC Kyiv & CDTO Campus
Case 5

Institutions that can deliver: GGTC Kyiv & CDTO Campus

A separate focus was building institutions that can not only imagine transformations but actually deliver them through GGTC Kyiv (part of the World Economic Forum's C4IR network) and through the development of the CDTO community. CDTO Campus became part of the deeper logic behind state capacity: you cannot import a digital state, you have to grow the people and teams who can run it.
